What began in 2006 as a low key celebration of local business achievement, resulted in a high profile annual ‘Business Awards’ event for 2007, 2008 and 2009, thanks to a significant increase in sponsorship and a new approach to the management and PR.

The RBWM Awards became a local platform for the region’s business to profile and celebrate their endeavours.

Blink commenced each year ‘selling-in’ the event to corporate sponsors.  With the resulting budget, the agency kicked-off the awards with a launch event and created extensive local PR coverage to promote the award categories and encourage a high number of quality applications. Blink also managed the judging process and ensured that all sponsor’s requirements were met and exceeded.

All of the communications material was designed and written by Blink, including the award category brochure, invitations, website, press releases, award certificates and menus. Blink also managed all aspects of the awards evening. This included the design and theming, script writing, the filming of all of the shortlisted finalists, the design of the awards, menu and wine tasting, entertainment and guest speaker booking, audio visual and charity fundraising.
